Welcome to the Christmas Light Academy Affiliate Program!
These Terms & Conditions outline how commissions work, what is allowed, and how we protect both you and our brand. By signing up as an affiliate, you agree to the following terms.
Commission Structure
• Affiliates earn 30% commission on eligible sales.
• Commissions apply to:
• Initial paid signups after a free trial ends
• Any product upsells or bundle purchases made within the 90-day cookie window
• Commission does not apply to monthly recurring payments (unless stated in a special promotion).
• We do not pay commission on your own purchases (no self-referrals).
Cookie Duration & Free Trials
• A 90-day tracking cookie is automatically set when a customer clicks your affiliate link.
• If they sign up for a free trial, you are still credited as the referrer.
• If they upgrade, purchase a bundle, or buy other digital products later — you will be credited as long as they are within the 90-day window and no other affiliate has overridden the cookie.
Payout Schedule (Kajabi Standard)
• Kajabi holds commissions for a 30-day clearing period after the transaction to allow for any refunds or chargebacks.
• Once cleared, commissions are paid out on or around the 15th of each month, via PayPal or direct deposit.
• You must have at least $25 in cleared commissions to trigger a payout.
• It is your responsibility to keep your PayPal information up to date in your affiliate dashboard.
Prohibited Activities
To maintain fairness and brand trust, the following are strictly prohibited:
• Bidding on brand keywords like “Christmas Light Academy,” “CLA,” or any variations in Google Ads or similar platforms.
• Spamming Facebook groups, forums, or comments with affiliate links.
• Misleading or false claims about earnings, guarantees, or program outcomes.
• Offering unapproved bonuses or incentives (e.g. your own discount, cash, or rebates).
• Self-referrals — you cannot use your own affiliate link to purchase CLA products.
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate removal from the program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
Affiliate Tracking & Integrity
• Our system tracks visitors via browser cookies and unique referral codes.
• In case of disputes or multiple referrals, the most recent valid affiliate link gets credit.
• CLA reserves the right to review suspicious affiliate activity, including:
• Duplicate accounts
• Signups from the same household or IP
• Abnormally high refund rates
• Unusual spikes in free trial signups with no engagement
We actively monitor for abuse to ensure fair and accurate compensation for all affiliates.
Use of Brand Assets
You may use:
• Approved images, logos, and promotional language from the affiliate portal
You may not:
• Modify or recreate CLA’s logo or branding
• Create misleading ads or landing pages impersonating CLA
• Use unapproved testimonials or AI-generated content claiming to be us
Program Updates & Termination Rights
• CLA reserves the right to change commission rates, cookie windows, or terms at any time with notice.
• We may terminate any affiliate at any time for:
• Breach of terms
• Brand misrepresentation
• Inactivity or fraud
Legal & Tax Responsibility
• You are responsible for reporting and paying your own income taxes on affiliate earnings.
• CLA is not responsible for any legal claims or liabilities arising from how you promote the program.
Marketing Suggestions
We encourage you to:
• Share your unique link with warm leads, email lists, and relevant online communities
• Mention our Free Trial offer to increase conversions
• Educate prospects on how CLA trains installers, office staff, sales reps, and team leads — and helps companies scale faster
